Capt. Charlie is a 3rd generation native of the Homosassa area. “I specialize in fishing for inshore species such as Redfish, Tarpon, Trout and Cobia.”
If you’d like to charter a guide to go Florida flats fishing in the Homosassa Springs area, you have come to the right place. Homosassa Redfishing is my specialty. We cater to both the light spinning tackle and Fly Fishermen.
“I have been fishing these Homosassa waters for 25 years as both a commercial fisherman and a charter captain. The many years that I have spent commercial fishing these waters have made me quite knowledgeable about the West Central Florida Big Bend area. I know Florida flats fishing in this area extremely well. This knowledge lets me place my clients on to fish at the right time, tide and place.”

Captain,
I will be staying in the Homosassa area for a week and would like to take a half day or a full day with a fishing guide. I have a fishing buddy who will accompany me. I have caught redfish in Florida in the Mosquito River several years ago and enjoyed it very much. Please let me know if you have any openings in the first week of April.

I have been to homasassa before, but never had time to fish.My wife and i are only amateur fishermen. She had polio as a child and has trouble getting around .She is 66 and i am 73,but not dead yet, lol.I retired last april 1st,but we haven,t did anything except watch tv.We would like to come down the last of february or early march. How would the fishing be and for which species.I noticed some snook in the fish bowl in the park.they looked like rockets streaking across the water.i been working all my life without much time to fish except ocassional local fishing.Give me an e-mail.Also at jack atkinson,3430 locust grove lane, salem,va. 24153.It,s been cold as hell here and i am anxious to get away as soon as i get my taxes filed. Thanks, jack

Wondering when good time for the four types of fish you speak about, I lived in Pensacola for 15 yrs and know cobia was good in mid spring and June. Love Reds and trout La. We would be there 5 or 6 days, could also give idea of cost and lodging.

My friends and I went fishing with Capt Charlie the other day and what a wonderful day it was. We caught some nice Trout early and then had an even better time site fishing Redfish. All in all a great day on the water with a Great Captain and great friends. This is a trip that I and Captain Charlie had tried to set up for over 3 years and it was well worth the wait. If you’re going to fish out of Homosassa then this is the man you want to fish with. Thanks Captain Charlie for a Wonderful day on the Water, Dave Davidson.
